Portico at Moss Bank

Portico at Moss Bank is situated within Moss Bank Children's Centre.

WE ARE OPEN 8.00 AM TILL 6.OO PM, Monday to Friday. We close for bank holidays and for 2 weeks over Christmas.

We have an open door policy - NO APPOINTMENT NECESSARY - please pop in to see for yourselves.

Baby room - registered for 18 children aged 0 - 2 years.

We have a small baby area by the large window.

The rest of the room is divided into 2 parts - older babies and toddlers. This allows us the flexibility to work with parents and decide when your child is ready and able to access the equipment and resources on the toddler side.

2 - 5's room - registered for 32 children (awaiting new photos)

The 2-3's group and the preschool group are together in this room, with key workers working in each group planning for their children's individual interests or next steps.

We also have a fabulous woodland outdoor area with covered space where children can play, explore, investigate and learn in an open door environment. This means that the children can move freely and be indoors or outdoors as they wish.

A key worker system ensures positive relationships, and that all children's and families needs are met. We have daily diaries for the under 2's and termly newsletters for the 2 -5's as a link from home to nursery. Parents comments are taken on board and included in monthly evaluations to help us plan appropriately for individual children.

We welcome parents and carers in at any time to pop in and spend some time with their child in nursery to get an idea of what goes on. With close links with the children's Centre, we are able to signpost to groups and sessions within the centre and the local communities, and other professionals for advice and support.
